Latest finds

Haven't done much item runs with my magic find necro recently... have been spending a lot of time levelling up and playing with my Windforce Amazon. I have to say, it's fun spraying multishots at bunches of monsters and seeing them bounce around because of the knockback mod on the bow, before they collapse! My attack rating is still quite low and my resistances totally suck! Still I started doing pit runs and pindle runs with my Amazon (with very low MF)... it was heaps of fun. Already found a Gargoyle's bite in the pits... not to mention lots of fun and good experience.
Also started doing Pindle runs with my Amazon... its fun spraying the reanimated horde with multishot arrows while they try and do their charge attack... the knockback and cold damage make it seem like they are swimming against a tide :) Finally their charge times out and they go bouncing back heheheh
Anyway now on with the screenshots. Just thought I'd mention that there are a few more I have kept on my other PC, from where I also play D2E. Will upload them later.


Demonhorn's edge - unique destroyer helm. Nice find. This helm can spawn with +3 to all 3 Barbarian skill trees. However this one spawned with +2. Not as good as Arreat's Face, but still, a cool item.


This one's Jade Talon, unique wrist sword. An assassin claw... again, a nice item, though this one spawned with +1 to 2 skill trees instead of a possible +2.


Naj's puzzler - set elder staff. Rare item, but kinda useless :) Except for the teleport charges, this item does not have much else going for it.


Nord's Tenderizer - unique truncheon. This turned out to be a low-end one with +3 to freezes target, 5% cold absorb, 287% ED and 156% bonus to attack rating. A nice weapon, but the high-end ones are awesome!


And here's my second Nosferatu's coil - unique vampirefang belt.


Thunder Mauls don't drop that often. So it's a pity when one spawns rare instead of unique.


And a chest in Durance level 2 pops out my second Harley - unique shako. This is by far the best item I have got from a chest!


And finally - my 4th or 5th wizardspike!

Some interesting drops since I last posted (when are they not interesting anyway!)
And since there have been MANY drops since the last time, this post will be longer than usual :)
Apart from the screenshots below, one of Pindle's homies also dropped a Stoneraven, unique Matriarchal Spear. Nice weapon with +3 to skills. Unfortunately the screenprint didn't come off :(
And then Pindle also dropped Marrow Walk, unique Boneweave Boots. Keeping with a lot of my finds, they spawned ethereal :(

Let's start off with the rares and then with the good stuff -


Here Pindle dropped another one of those rare Vortex Shields!


And here he drops a rare War Pike!
When you only see a war pike drop like once every 200 games, when it spawns yellow, it drives you mad!


And yet another rare legendary mallet. Oh how I long for a Shaeffer's!


Here is my second Sazabi's Ghost Liberator, set Balrog skin. I sold this one because I couldn't be bothered to carry it around or to trade it.


Here's Jalal's mane - a nice helm for a shapeshifting druid. This is my second one, so I might go and create a bear and a wolf :)


Here's Andariel's Visage, a unique Demonhead. With +2 skills, big strength boost and 9% life leech, this will be a nice helm for my bow amazon.


Here one of Pindle's gardeners drops a very rare armour - Aldur's Deception, set Shadow Plate. Unfortunately it's not a great armour and Aldur's is not a great set.


Here's M'Avina's true sight, set Diadem. Nice helm. In my opinion, a nice set as well. This time around, I'm missing the 3 parts of the set which I had found 3 times over the last time - the Kraken Shell, the gloves and the belt.


And Pindle drops my second Tal Rasha's Guardianship, set Lacquered Plate. Nice one Pindle!!


And Pindle drops a Thunderstroke, unique Matriarchal Javelin. A nice weapon, I'll use this one on my Javazon. This one spawned with +3 to skills (can go as high as +4).


A grey Vortex Shield... turned out to be 4 socketed and +43 to all resists. Great shield!! If only I had the runes to put the Exile runeword into it :) But then I might always put in a Spirit runeword... quite inexpensive and great mods for a spell caster!
This shield is very rare and a good find!


Mephisto finally drops something nice, a unique Jewel. This Rainbow Facet jewel turned out to be a fire jewel with chance to cast a blaze when you level up. Nice stats too - +5% fire skill damage, -4% enemy fire resistance.


Pindle dropped a Reaper's Toll - unique Thresher. A much less rare but much better find than the Stormspire, Giant Thresher!


Hallelujah! It's a Death Cleaver! Nice unique berserker axe. This one spawned ethereal with 240% ED. Ethereal Death Cleavers are very expensive, and will be of use to people with Zod runes (I'm not one of them unfortunately!) So I could trade this one for some high runes. But I'm also not a fan of giving away hard found items for duped runes!


And now - a true biggie... the Grandfather, unique Colossus Blade. Very nice find! This one got 154% ED (can go as high as 250%), so not the best Grandfather, but still great, as it's the first one I ever found!


To end this post on a light note, I found an interestingly named unique monster - check out the name highlighted on the corpse! Unfortunately my merc and skellies killed it before I could screenprint it alive! It was one of those wraith type monsters.

And this one made me cringe!! Imagine if it would have been Gargoyle's bite, Shaeffer's and Barana's star!


And here we have the rare occasion of Pindle dropping 2 uniques in one drop. Both suck bad, unfortunately!


And Pindle drops Hellrack, unique colossus crossbow. Nice weapon with 2 shael runes in it. But still lacks the massive firepower of the Windforce.


And here, one of the Prowling Dead warriors in Pindle's garden drops a Stoneraven, unique Matriarchal Spear. This one spawned ethereal, with massive damage (3XX - 5XX). But I'd need a Zod to make it work. It spawned with only 2 to skills, instead of 3 though. I might just use it on a spearazon until it breaks. It'll be one hell of a weapon until that happens :)


And Pindle drops Messerschmidt's Reaver, unique champion axe. Very rare weapon, second rarest axe in the game. But not that great as a weapon. Might use it when I make an axe barb.


Hello! Another Ormus! This one spawned with much less than perfect damage enhancers. And a not-that-exciting +3 to frozen armour.


And finally, a Wolfhowl, unique Fury Visor. First time I found this whimsical helm. Might create a wolf barbarian with this one :)

next slew of finds

It's been some time since I last posted my finds. I had a lean period in the middle where all sorts of shite was dropping from Pindle, Mephisto and Baal. Not to mention the few fruitless Diablo, Hephasto and pit runs.
By the way, did I mention what crap Hephasto drops consistently? Once he had the temerity of dropping a normal Mana potion and a blue broadsword!! I guess he must have bad chances of dropping items.
But here's a run-down of what all I found.

As usual - with the few rares that always drives one mad!!


Here Pindle drops another one of his usual yellow sacred armours!


And then one more!!


Here's a rare Scissors Suwayyah... but I'm not peeved about this one. Last time I played D2E, I found 2 Nat's claws in one day, within 10 minutes of each other :)


Here Pindle dropped a Ribcracker (unique quarterstaff). A nice staff with good physical damage. This one spawned with 230% ED (on the low end - they go up as high as 300%)


Here Mephisto dropped a unique Amulet (always a good thing). This one turned out to be the Eye of Eltich (thank God it was not the Nokozan Relic!!)


And another unique ammy... from one of the chests where Maffer Dragonhand spawns to the left of the Durance level 3.


And it turns out to be the Cat's Eye... hooray it's not Nokozan!!


And here Mephisto dropped an Arioc's Needle. Too bad this one spawned with only +2 skills (they go up all the way to +5).


And here Mephisto dropped my second Gimmershred. A nice weapon for my throwing barb.


Baal drops a very rare but rather useless sword - Sazabi's Cobalt Redeemer - set cryptic sword. This is my second one. Maybe I'll create a dual-wield barb with the Sazabi's set :)


Pindle drops my second Mavina's bow.


Pindle drops a Lum rune. A mid level rune, not much better than my previously high rune Ko.


Baal disappoints with a lowly Gavel of Pain. This could well have been a scene after a NM Baal run... not the friggin Hell Baal run it actually was! But this sure beats getting Isenhart's breast plate from hell Baal!
Check out the funny goat's head ghosts which are released when Baal dies! They spiral up from his corpse. When magnified, they look kinda cute :) You can also see them clearly in the screenshot of the Sazabi's sword drop.


Here Pindleskin spawned with Fanaticism aura and the "Cursed" mod. A deadly combination for melee fighters. More so if he's also extra strong. "Your Kung-Fu is not strong!" my skeletons laugh at him :)


And then he drops a Titan's revenge unique ceremonial javelin. This makes it my third.


And my latest drop (30 minutes ago)... my second Tomb Reaver, unique cryptic axe.

Godly Sacred Armour

This one was dropped by Pindle in one of my past runs -
When it spawned ethereal, I was thinking, what if it were "Godly"... and when I IDed it, I could not believe my eyes or stop smiling :)
